FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Dear Rock Pink Family,

It is with bittersweet emotion that we share with you an important announcement about a recent change in the Rock Pink Board of Directors. While our co-Founder and pink-goatee’d superhero, Mark Hollamon, is stepping down as President after four years of heart-felt service due to health reasons, we are so thrilled to announce the appointment of David Sackett to serve as President, effective September 1, 2011.

It’s only fitting that our faithful President of the Board Emeritus shares his personal thoughts with you, our family of fellow Rock Pinkers:

Serving as President of Rock Pink has been the most rewarding experience of my life. As one of the co-founders of this life-changing breast cancer non-profit, I am humbled by the growth and support this organization has experienced since our inception. I am confident our partners and supporters will be pleased with our selection of David as our new President.

The recent launching of our Music and Humanity Project™ epitomizes part of our vision to focus on the humanitarian aspect of touching the lives of those affected by breast cancer. This is one example of the type of projects I can focus on in my new role with Rock Pink.

--Mark Hollamon

In answer to the call to serve this incredible organization, President David Sackett had this to say about his recent appointment:

Rock Pink would not be where it is today without Mark’s leadership and tireless dedication to our organization and our mission. Mark remains an Officer of our Board and will continue to play an important role in the strategic development of Rock Pink. Not only will he be involved with many of the annual events he helped foster with our partners, he will also focus on the generation of new initiatives. As we have grown over the past few years we have realigned our Board members to take on many of the responsibilities Mark owned day-to-day and this is another step in effectively managing our growth.

It is an honor to be selected by the Board as Mark’s successor as President and I am excited with the opportunity of an expanded role with Rock Pink. The Board remains dedicated to continuing Mark’s vision as we further our mission and make a positive impact in our community and the lives of our neighbors.
