Munk Tung, a hard rock band from Orlando, Florida formed in the spring of 2006 determined to let the musical styles of each of member dictate the path this group would take. In the fall of 2006, Munk Tung members Ethan Kennett (Vocals/Guitar), Nick Melashenko (Bass/Vocals), and Marc Kryl (Drums/Vocals) entered the studio under the direction of producer Brett Hestla. After months of recording and mixing, the group emerged with a polished product that features diverse, yet catchy songs that combined the vast range of each member’s styles.
Metal, Rock, Prog, Fusion, Hardcore, and even Pop were utilized in creating a sound that is truly theirs. The name Munk Tung, as the band explains, “Essentially means, actions speak louder than words. This defines who we are, our creative path, our business model, and our vision for the future.”
Munk Tung has performed at many of Central Florida’s largest venues and has opened as direct support for such well-known acts as Godsmack.
